WE ARE NOW OPEN Visitors who have been vaccinated against Covid are now welcome to visit. Welcome The Wyoming Division Historical Society is located in two buildings at 1249 S. Eastern Drive in Cornville, Arizona.  The business address and mailing address is: Wyoming Division Historical Society 11 Rosemary Court Sedona, Arizona 86336                                                                                Visiting and Hours The Wyoming Division is usually open Monday through Friday from 9 AM till 3:30 PM.  Please arrive before 3:30 PM so you have an hour to see the layout.  Come earlier if you are a passionate modeler—we are sure you will want to see and discuss all the details of the layout and the operations as well as view the historic photos and displays. We are not normally open on weekends except by special arrangements for visitors who have come from far away states or for groups.  We do have regular monthly operating sessions (see Calendar below) on Saturdays, but we are too busy for visitors, and the layout is too crowded with operators for you to see all the details.  If it is only possible to visit on an operating Saturday, we ask you stay up on the Mezzanine and out of the way, and please, do not be offended if we do not have time to spend with you.  Normally we try to be very cordial and gracious hosts, but on operating Saturdays, we owe that treatment to our operating guests, who have come from all over the state and other states just to operate.  Please respect them.  However, if you are a dedicated model railroad operator from a foreign location, do come and watch, and catch Verryl for a brief overview of our ops, and to sign up for future sessions—or better yet, join us on the floor with a throttle in your hand.  The layout is so big, that we can always squeeze in one more operator to the 28 to 35 on hand for each session. Group Visits The Wyoming Division Historical Society is glad to arrange visits for groups.  Children and teens are particularly welcome if the rules below are followed. To inquire about a group visit contact the email or telephone on the upper right of the home page. Rules and Guidelines for Groups Groups of 8 or more should write or call first to notify us. Children.  We welcome children, and if there are not too many in your party we will let them operate a train wirelessly with a DCC throttle with supervision o We require one adult for each 6 children in a group o Children must be properly supervised.  You will be asked to leave if a child gets unruly o One of our staff should walk along and make sure turnouts are correctly thrown and routes properly chosen. o More than one youngster can run a train at the same time subject to enough of us to supervise.
